Since 2006, the schools of the Archdiocese of St. Louis have been making significant progress in addressing the issues related to childhood obesity and in meeting the HealthierUS School Challenge through the promotion of nutrition and physical activity. At that time, it was suggested that all schools should generate an individual school wellness plan that would provide good direction in addressing this serious issue.
Every day I come to work, I am reminded of the abundant blessings at St. Louis Catholic Academy. To assist in the learning and growth of such spe-cial children is truly a gift. It is already a wonderful year, and our children are working diligently to be the absolute best. As the Principal at SLCA, one of my jobs is to help provide our children with the tools they need to be success-ful. Our goal is to educate and serve the needs of the whole child---socially, emotionally, academically and spiritually.
The Brown Sisters Foundation wants to increase your gift and your impact! Brown Sisters is pledging $30,000 to St. Louis Catholic Academy if we can raise an additional $60,000—but we are going to exceed that goal! All gifts will support our extended day programming for K-8th students.
